Rose McGowan is sending her best wishes to Jill Messick and her family.
In an Instagram post Saturday, the actress/activist shared her condolences for her ex-manager, who killed herself Wednesday after getting caught up in McGowan’s toxic struggle with accused sexual predator Harvey Weinstein.
“For Jill: May your family find some measure of solace during this pain. That one man could cause so much damage is astounding, but tragically true. The bad man did this to us both,” McGowan wrote, referencing Weinstein. “May you find peace on the astral plane. May you find serenity with the stars.”
Messick’s family blamed McGowan, Weinstein and “sensationalistic” media for her death, in a statement issued Thursday.
Messick, 50, was a veteran studio executive and producer and the mother of two children. She also had battled bipolar disorder and depression — her “nemesis,” according to her family — for years.
